The luxury watchmaker recently launched a set of frosted gold Royal Oak timepieces.

White Gold, Yellow, and Pink options

Today, Audemars Piguet unveiled their latest creation, the Royal Oak Mini, a collection of three 23mm frosted gold watches inspired by the miniature Royal Oak models of the late 1990s. The new Mini Oak collection features a vibrant yellow, pink, and white gold option, all showcasing the signature frosted gold finish previously popularised by AP’s collaboration with jewellery designer Carolina Bucci.

Matching a version first launched in 1997 under the moniker “Mini Royal Oak” in size, Audemars Piguet’s 23mm watch launch features a few updates.

Swiss watchmaker Audemars Piguet is reinventing a popular model.

One of the brand’s signature timepieces has been scaled down in size for the first time in decades. Retailing for $34,400, the new Royal Oak Mini Frosted Gold is available in 18-karat yellow, white and pink gold.

“These mini creations pay tribute not only to Audemars Piguet’s long tradition of miniature and jewelry watches, but also to the women who have left their mark on the history of the brand, including Jacqueline Dimier to whom we owe the first Royal Oak for women, and Carolina Bucci, the mastermind behind the Frosted Gold finish,” said Ilaria Resta, CEO of Audemars Piguet, in a statement.

Its leaders highlight the products’ ties to Audemars Piguet’s history and heritage.

The trio, which debuted in Milan last week, comes in Frosted Gold, a finish first introduced in 1972. Shimmering on camera, the maison spotlights the Royal Oak Minis in a brand campaign.

“Small, charming, creative, almost frivolous, the new Royal Oak Mini watches revive a feminine myth born in 1997,” said Sébastian Vivas, heritage and museum director at Audemars Piguet, in a statement.

“They demonstrate the extraordinary plasticity of the Royal Oak collection, which transcends decades, gender, trends and dimensions.”

Two additional Royal Oak watches — “Full Gemset” and “Chroma Gold,” both 41mm options — have also been revealed.
